THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
The management of a catalogue of references is particularly wide and varied requires accurate and efficient storage solutions. With the aim of solving problems related to the optimization of storage space and of increasing efficiency in picking operations, the company has decided to redesign its intralogistics processes.
THE SOLUTION
4 tri-columned vertical lift modules SILO2 have been installed in the storage and retrieval area alongside the previous traditional solutions. Each VLM has 2 side-by-side access openings: each replenishment-picking cycle ends in just 32 seconds. In this area productivity has increased by 50% from 30 lines/hour to 45 lines/hour for each operator working there.
