THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
Given the increase in the variety of molds to be handled, as well as their weight and volume (max weight 250 kg), the company decided to install an automated storage solution in order to optimize the available space while increasing efficiency and safety during the handling and storage operations of molds.
THE SOLUTION
The SILO2 Vertical Lift Module solved the problem of the space optimization thanks to its vertical development. The telescopic access opening allows for the fast, comfortable picking of heavy and/or bulky materials such as molds, which need to be handled by servo-controlled systems and/or automatic systems (cranes, pneumatic manipulators, robots etc. …) without any fixed footprint area.
