THE COMPANY
Established in 1986, Tramec started as a manufacturer of bevel helical gearboxes, parallel shaft gearboxes, shaft-mounted gearboxes and right angle gearboxes.
THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
Missing or incorrect assembly components caused the line to slow down and at times even stopped the entire production process. Faced with increasing competitiveness in the sector and evermore stringent delivery times, Tramec decided to automate the most difficult and repetitive operations and make the internal workflow of components more streamlined.
THE SOLUTION
With the aim of guaranteeing an automated, continuous supply of parts and components to the various production departments, Tramec decided to install a SILO2 vertical lift module system with opposing access openings, strategically positioned between two different production areas to act an inter-operational buffer.
