THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
Given the increase in the number of rolls of fabric that needed to be kept in stock, the storage space that had been dedicated to them was no longer sufficient and was no longer in line with the speed required by the market. The use of traditional static shelving slowed down handling operations with inevitable negative repercussions on delivery times and the level of service perceived by the customer.
THE SOLUTION
The installation of the SILO2 multi-column automated storage system made it possible to significantly increase storage capacity, by exploiting all the vertical space available in the premises. Now the rolls of fabric are all kept inside the vertical storage system where they are protected from external agents and unauthorized access.
