THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
The main logistics problem to resolve was to improve the level of safety and protection of the stored printing cylinders and to have the full traceability of the operations. These were the main goals that the Company wanted to achieve with a new storage automated solutions.
THE SOLUTION
2 SILO2 Vertical Lift Modules have been installed in the plant of Silvalac, a company specialized in the flexible polyethylene packaging, part of the Armando Alvarez Group. Each SILO2 VLM is composed of 3 storage columns and has been equipped with a telescopic access opening to make easier and more comfortable the printing cylinders' handling and picking operations.
