THE COMPANY
A company which specializes in the engineering and precision machining of design parts, spare parts for machinery, the assembly of hydro-mechanical parts and turning and milling with numerical control machines.
THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
The pallets containing the iron components ready to be shipped to customers, used to be stored on a mezzanine floor that the company wanted to remove in order to make the production area more manageable. As they were of different dimensions types, the pallets could not be stacked on top of each other, so they occupied a very large footprint in terms of floor space.
THE SOLUTION
To resolve these logistical problems, the Company installed a SILO2 multi-column automated storage system outside the factory, with a telescopic access opening, accessible from inside the plant.
