THE COMPANY
GStrumentazione Industriale was founded in 1987 by Mr. Dario Gnemmi and is today a leading company in the distribution of instruments for measuring and regulating pressure, temperature, flow and level and produces accessories for industrial plants, based in Invorio (NO – Italy).
THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
Over time, the ever-increasing number of items to manage, the larger geographical area the company supplies and the need to deliver many products within a 48-hour timeframe, or even on the same day, has made managing the intralogistics processes increasingly more complex: all items were stored on traditional racking on 2 levels.
THE SOLUTION
To meet these needs, in view of the company's growth, and to make picking and retrieval activities more efficient and ergonomic, Strumentazione Industriale decided to install 2 SILO² VLMs. At over 6.6 meters high, this solution is able to offer almost 94 m3 of storage capacity, in just 46 m2 of floor space.
