Bertoli Antonio is a manufacturer and distributor of buttons, buckles and metal and plastic accessories of all kinds (for clothing, leather goods, promotional gadgets and technical items).
THE LOGISTCS CHALLENGE
The fickleness of consumers’ tastes and preferences, combined with the multiple product changes that take place from one collection to another, plus seasonal peaks in demand, prompted the company to decide to reorganize the intralogistics in their Castelli Calepio factory near Bergamo. The goal was to make the production and distribution processes more flexible and reactive, as demanded by the market.
THE SOLUTION
To resolve the problems related to the maximization of space in the warehouse, the company decided to install 3 SILO² vertical lift modules, one in each area of the warehouse.
