THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
Faced with an increase in the number of electronic components they managed and the need to guarantee suitable storage conditions for them, given their high value, this major company operating in the Aerospace industry, realised that it was time to reorganize their internal logistics processes. In fact, the fixed shelving they had used up to that time was no longer able to guarantee the efficiency and quality demanded by the market.
THE SOLUTION
To keep costs low and continue to ensure a sterile, safe environment for the stored electrical and electronic components, the company opted to install 2 SILO2 multi-column vertical storage systems without the usual upper panelling, to allow air to recirculate in the cleanroom environment. In this way it is the ventilation system of the cleanroom laboratory itself that guarantees the right storage environment.
