THE LOGISTICS CHALLENGE
The warehouse operators wasted too much time searching for accessories (zips, buttons etc.) with the inevitable negative repercussions in terms of productivity, delivery times and customer satisfaction. Mistakes made in retrieving stock were very frequent and the storage conditions for the stored goods were no longer in line with the standards of quality required in this sector.
THE SOLUTION
The SILO2 automated vertical storage system was the perfect solution for the company in terms of speed, flexibility and reliability. Thanks to the “goods-to-operator” principle, warehouse staff can pick up the items straight from the access opening, therefore avoiding unnecessary journeys on foot around the warehouse. This in turn leads to a level of productivity and accuracy that was impossible to achieve with the previous static shelving.
