SILO Plus, THE AUTOMATED MULTI-COLUMN VERTICAL STORAGE SYSTEM FOR ORDER PICKING

High performance and maximum productivity

SILO^Plusis the multi-column vertical lift module with shifting tray for the storage and high-frequency picking of light loads (max 100 kg).

Thanks to its exclusive handling technology and to the variable sizing options for the trays (both in terms of dimensions and load capacity), SILO^Plus represents the ideal storage solution for the rapid order processing.

SILO^Plusoffers operational performance never been reached before from a multi-column vertical lift system, ensuring a high throughput and a rapid return of investment.

The trays, available in four different sizes (WxD: 853x612 / 1,253x612 / 653x802 / 1,253x802 mm), are designed to be filled with Euro standard plastic boxes and containers. The boxes, which can be easily removed and carried around, respond perfectly to the storage and handling requirements of light-weight materials and small items and are designed to facilitate the flow of materials within the warehouse. The requested items are immediately available in the access opening where the operator is, already divided by product type or picking logic, improving the fulfillment and order consolidation activities.

SILO^Plus is able to exploit all the available space, not only vertically (the system height can vary every 100 mm, from 2,800 mm up to 15,000 mm) but also horizontally (the system width varies from 2,085 mm up to 6,585 mm).

Thanks to its modular design, SILO^Plus can be configured with a combination of up to 7 storage columns.

Unprecedent operational continuity and flexibility

Designed according to ergonomic and safety principles, the SILO^Plus access openings allow the accurate, safe and ergonomic picking and refilling of materials.

The different type of access openings (internal and telescopic) and the high freedom of positioning (side-by-side, opposite, on multiple levels) ensure an operational continuativity and flexibility never been reached before.

Each SILO^Plus can be equipped with a minimum of two and a maximum of eight access openings.

Internal access opening

The internal access opening is the ideal solution to store small-medium sized items.

Telescopic access opening

Telescopic access opening allows for the fast and comfortable picking of light but bulky materials.

Side-by-side access openings

The possibility of positioning multiple access openings, one next to each other, helps to increase speed and efficiency in the picking process. In the standard version, while one tray is involved in picking operations in one access opening, another tray is already being brought to the access opening next door, reducing or even setting the waiting time to zero.

Combined access openings

SILO^Plus Vertical Lift Module can be equipped with different type of side-by-side access openings. For example internal and telescopic in order to ensure the safe and comfortable storage of different items.

Access openings on different levels

Thanks to the possibility of positioning more access openings on different levels of the same building, SILO^Plus offers the change to access in a fast and secure way to all stored items, from whatever level the operators are.

Access openings on the opposite site

The possibility of positioning access openings on the opposite sites of the SILO^Plus allows to access to the stored materials from both sides of the storage system, from different operators as well. Furthermore, this solution allows to use the SILO² VLM as a buffer storage when two different area of warehouse need the same stored goods.

Thanks to its vertical development, SILO^Plus enables the maximum exploitation of available space, both vertically and horizontally, outdoor ,as well.

Furthermore, its modular design allows the creation of automated warehouses even in premises with complex layouts, such as low roofs, multiple floors or structural support pillars.

The completely closed and insulated paneling ensures the best storage condition to stored items, away from unauthorized access and externals such as humidity, rain, high temperatures, etc.

Complex layout

The high flexibility and modularity that characterize the SILO^Plus, allows the maximum exploitation of the available space even in premises with irregular layout.

Low-roofed premises

Thanks to the possibility to develop its volume both vertically and horizontally, SILO^Plus ensure the maximum utilization of space also in the low-roofed premises.

The modular design of SILO^Plus makes possible to realize vertical storage module fully integrated into the existing building, even with premises enabling the exploitation of the surrounding area

The trays, specifically designed to be equipped with boxes and / or Euro-standard containers, are available in 4 different sizes (L x W 853x612, 1,253x612, 653x802, 1,253x802 mm), with a maximum load bearing capacity of 100 kg.

The ability to perfectly organize items within each boxes and Euro-standard containers, easily removable and carried around, with the integration of IRIDE,
the interactive multimedia workstation, allows to the SILO^Plus to reach level of accuracy and productivity never been reached before for a multi-column vertical storage system.

Alternatively, if Euro-Standard boxes are not suitable, separators and dividers allow the use of additional trays with a width ranging from 653÷1,253 mm with a pitch of 100 mm and depth of 612 / 707 / 802 mm, ensuring the maximum versatility.
